Wednesday, September 20, 2006 Sim League Openings
As promised, here is the list of league openings I’ve received. Please contact the league directly and NOT BDD.
Strat-O-Matic Leagues -- The USBL Strat-O-Matic league is a Mega-league (draft style), with 30 teams of 150-man rosters, and a salary structure with MLB-style arbitration years, and free agency. At present, we have multiple openings, and are interviewing candidates to take on a team or to help out as a "co-manager", or to join the waiting list. Requirements: An extensive knowledge of players and willingness to join a league with long-term focus are the most important requirements. SOM experience is not required, although the game's ins and outs will need to be learned. Managers will play their home games each season (broken into monthly "blocks"). This will require the managers to each own the software, and NetPlay is desired but not mandatory. Contact: All the league information is available at http://www.the-usbl.org/. Right now, the following teams are open, although some managers are being interviewed: Pittsburgh, State College, Tampa Bay, Hudson Valley. New managers will be free to rename their franchises.
