Friday, September 22, 2006 Cardinals Announce Jocketty Extension
HOUSTON, TX, September 22, 2006 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have elected to exercise the 2008 contract option for Senior Vice President/General Manager Walt Jocketty.
Jocketty, 55, has served as the Cardinals general manager since October of 1994 and is currently the third longest tenured general manager in baseball as well as the longest tenured general manager in club history. posted by Joe Hamrahi at 8:51 PM |
