Monday, August 21, 2006 Stauffer Gets the Call in San Diego
The San Diego Padres today recalled right-handed pitcher Tim Stauffer from Triple-A Portland and optioned right-handed pitcher Jon Adkins to that same Portland club. Executive Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement.
Stauffer, who will wear No. 54 and start for the Padres in the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight, appeared in 25 games (24 starts) for Triple-A Portland this season, going 6-12 with a 5.07 ERA (80 ER/142.0 IP). posted by Joe Hamrahi at 10:23 PM |
