Wednesday, August 30, 2006 Rafael Soriano in Stable Condition
Seattle Mariners pitcher Rafael Soriano sustained a concussion Tuesday when he was hit behind the right ear by a line drive off the bat of the Angels' Vladimir Guerrero. He was taken to the hospital last night for observation.
According to the Mariners, team physician Dr. Edward Khalfayan checked on Mariners pitcher Rafael Soriano this morning at Harborview Medical Center. Soriano is in stable condition in an intensive care unit. According to Dr. Khalfayan, Soriano had a follow-up CT scan early this morning. The scan showed "no worsening of his condition." After speaking with Rafael, Khalfayan reports that he is improving. Soriano will be examined by a neuro-surgeon later today, at which time more information should be available. posted by Joe Hamrahi at 2:06 PM |
