Wednesday, August 30, 2006 Gordon Named Texas League Player of the Year
Royals 2005 first round draft pick Alex Gordon has been named the Texas League Player of the Year after his stellar season for the Double-A Wichita Wranglers. Gordon, who was also named to the postseason all-star team, has helped lead the Wranglers to the Texas League playoffs for the first time since 2003.
