Sunday, August 20, 2006 Cubs Trade Neifi Perez to Tigers
The Chicago Cubs today traded infielder Neifi Perez to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for the Tigers’ third-round selection from the 2005 First-Year Player Draft, catcher Chris Robinson.
Robinson, 22, was named to the Florida State League All-Star Game, having batted .288 (92-for-319) with 22 doubles and 47 RBI for the Single-A Lakeland Tigers this year, his second professional season.
