Wednesday, August 30, 2006 Astros Sign Oswalt to 5-Year Extension!
The Houston Astros announced tonight that the club has signed right-handed pitcher Roy Oswalt to a five-year, $73-million contract extension through the 2011 season. There is an option for the 2012 season, and the contract includes a full no-trade provision. The announcement was made by General Manager Tim Purpura.
