The Houston Astros announced today that the club will recall right-handed pitcher Matt Albers and outfielder
Charlton Jimerson from Triple A Round Rock. The effective date of the transaction is September 1, and both players will be in uniform for tomorrow night’s Astros game against the New York Mets.

The Minnesota Twins announced that they will recall righthanded pitcher
Scott Baker and catcher Chris Heintz, and will select the contract of infielder Alexi Casilla prior to tomorrow night’s game at New York.

The San Diego Padres today recalled outfielder
