We plan to share bits of information as we receive it from around the league, whether it be through press releases or other sources.

Here's the first of those reports from the Washington Nationals.

OF Chris Marrero has hit safely in 7 of his 8 pro games for the Gulf Coast League Nationals…Marrero, who was the Nationals first pick this June out of Monsignor Pace High School (FL), is 12-for-30 (.400) with 5 doubles and 9 RBI and has notched 4 multi-hit games.

RHP Colton Willems has allowed just one earned run in 5.0 innings (1.80 ERA) for the Gulf Coast Nationals…the Nationals 2nd pick in the first-round this June, Willems has yet to allow a hit with runners in scoring position.

And rounding out the action in the Gulf Coast League, OF Stephen Englund is 7-for-21 (.333) in his first 8 games…Englund, the Nationals 2nd-round draft choice in the June draft out of Bellevue (WA) High School, has notched 5 RBI and a steal while hitting .625 (5-for-8) with runners in scoring position.
