Trade Rumor Roundup

Thanks to a number of sources, here's the latest on the trade front:

- The Angels, according to some very reliable sources, are closing in on
Miguel Tejada. The problem is, Tejada is starting to balk at playing third base.

- The Yankees have offered a package of minor leaguers to the Phillies, that doesn't include blue chipper Philip Hughes, for
Bobby Abreu and Cory Lidle. This will be the salary dump of the year if the deal goes through.

- The Mets are all but out of the
Barry Zito market.

- If you didn't know where
Alfonso Soriano would land a few days ago, you're not any closer to figuring out where he might go. Don't rule out the possibility that Soriano stays in Washington...seriously.

- The Red Sox are talking to just about everybody. Their motivation? Disrupt as many Yankee deals as possible.

- The Devil Rays are doing their best imitation of posturing, stating that they are trying to sign
Julio Lugo to a long-term deal. Don't believe it. Lugo is on his way out...either to Boston or St. Louis.

BDD's fearless forecast...Abreu goes to the Yankees, Lugo ends up in Boston, Tejada wears an Angels uniform, and Soriano winds up smack in the middle of negotiations with the White Sox again.
