Sunday, July 23, 2006 Nationals Deal Near Completion
According to azcentral.com, the sale of the Washington Nationals was near completion. The paperwork for the sale was reportedly completed on Friday, and incoming team President Stan Kasten told reporters that control of the team will shift once a money transfer occurs on Monday.
