Cleveland Recalls Jason Davis from Buffalo

CLEVELAND, OH --- The Indians today recalled RHP JASON DAVIS from AAA Buffalo. Davis assumes the spot of RHP BOB WICKMAN, who was traded to Atlanta yesterday.

Davis has spent the last 5 weeks in AAA Buffalo where he has gone 0-2 w/4 saves and a 0.54 ERA in 11 relief appearances (16.2IP, 8H, 2R/1ER, 3BB, 15K). Jason limited Triple A hitters to a .138 (8-58) average against and did not allow an earned run over his last 5 outings (7.2IP). Davis was with the big league club from opening day until June 13, going 2-1 w/a 5.04 ERA in 21 relief outings (30.1IP, 38H, 17ER, 7BB, 21K). Davis wears #50.
