Astros Recall Lane

Houston recalled Jason Lane from AAA-Round Rock tonight after putting outfielder Orlando Palmeiro on the bereavement list. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Palmeiro who lost his father.

It will be interesting to see if Lane's banishment to AAA provides a wakeup call for the 29 year-old. Lane has hit .205 (46-224) with 11 home runs and 30 RBI in 72 games for the Astros in 2006. In 12 games for Round Rock, he has hit .261 (12-46) with one home run and 11 RBI.
